Annual lithium demand is projected to reach 11,200 kilotonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) by 2050, a significant increase from the 2,691 kt mined between 2015 and 2022.

Key drivers of this demand include:

Electric Vehicles: The shift to EVs is accelerating globally, as governments enforce stricter emissions regulations and consumers seek greener alternatives.

Energy Storage: Lithium-ion batteries are essential for storing renewable energy, making them crucial for the transition to sustainable energy sources.

Technological Advancements: Innovations in battery technology, such as improved energy densities and faster charging, are further boosting lithium demand.

However, meeting this demand poses challenges, including resource scarcity, geopolitical risks, and environmental concerns associated with traditional mining methods. American Salars Lithium Inc. is strategically positioned to address these challenges through its focus on lithium brine projects, which offer a smaller environmental footprint and lower production costs. By adopting advanced technologies like Ekosolve™ Direct Lithium Extraction, the company aims to produce high-purity lithium efficiently and sustainably, aligning with the industry's shift towards greener practices.

Incahuasi Salar Project

The Incahuasi Salar project, located in the heart of the Lithium Triangle in Argentina, is American Salars Lithium Inc.'s flagship asset. The Lithium Triangle is renowned for its high lithium concentrations and holds approximately 54% of the world's lithium reserves. This strategic location enhances the project's significance, offering a solid foundation for future development.

The Incahuasi Salar project spans approximately 30 square kilometres (3,000 hectares). It is situated adjacent to properties owned by major lithium producers like Ganfeng, underscoring its strategic importance. The site is easily accessible by road and is 45 kilometres from Tolar Grande, a small town with no local indigenous communities, which simplifies operational logistics.

Exploration and Drilling

The project has undergone extensive exploration and drilling activities. In 2021, five wells were drilled, with well 4 showing lithium concentrations of up to 173 ppm. Geophysical surveys, including Vertical Electrical Sounding and Magnetotelluric surveys, have identified significant brine aquifers at depths of 50-200 meters, with potential extensions deeper in certain areas.

VES Geophysics: Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) is a geophysical method used to determine the subsurface electrical resistivity distribution by injecting electrical currents into the ground and measuring the resulting voltage differences. Low resistivity values (<0.50 ohm/m) indicated the presence of aquifers, which are underground layers of water-bearing permeable rock, in this case, rich in potassium, magnesium, and lithium brines. These aquifers are essential as they hold the brine from which lithium can be extracted.

MT Geophysics: Magnetotelluric (MT) surveys measure the earth's natural electric and magnetic fields to map subsurface conductivity. The MT surveys at Incahuasi revealed deeper aquifers with very low resistivities, suggesting substantial lithium brine deposits. These deeper aquifers, found at greater depths than those identified by VES, indicate a significant potential for extracting lithium.

Resource Expansion Plan

American Salars has a comprehensive plan for resource expansion and development at the Incahuasi Salar project, which can be seen in the image below:

Blackrock South Lithium Project

The Blackrock South Lithium Brine Project is a significant asset for American Salars Lithium Inc., strategically located in Nevada, USA. This project benefits from its proximity to major lithium operations and infrastructure, enhancing its potential for development and future partnerships.

Geographical and Strategic Importance

Situated in the Black Rock Desert Basin, the Blackrock South project lies near several key lithium operations:

Tesla Gigafactory: Approximately 72 miles away, this proximity offers logistical advantages for future partnerships and supply chain integration.

Thacker Pass: About 93 miles southwest, a major lithium project owned by Lithium Americas.

Silver Peak Lithium Mine: Around 215 miles northwest, the only producing lithium mine in the USA, owned by Albemarle.

The project's location within the Black Rock Desert Basin is significant due to the area's known lithium brine deposits and geothermal activity, which supports the potential for large-scale lithium production.

Exploration and Drilling Plans

The Blackrock South project has undergone preliminary exploration and is preparing for more extensive activities:

NI 43-101 Report: A comprehensive report has been completed, establishing the project's compliance with industry standards and outlining its potential.

Phase 1 Exploration: Planned for 2024, this phase will involve detailed geological and geophysical surveys, as well as initial drilling to assess the brine content and lithium concentrations.

Quebec Lithium Properties

The Quebec Hard Rock Lithium Portfolio forms a key part of American Salars Lithium Inc.'s assets. Located in the Gaspé region of Quebec, Canada, these properties offer significant potential for lithium exploration. The region is noted for its accessibility and promising historical samples. Grab samples from the area have shown lithium concentrations ranging from 30 ppm to 255 ppm, suggesting the presence of significant lithium mineralization. These samples come from serpentinite rocks, which indicate potential lithium-rich zones.

The exploration targets in Quebec cover an area approximately 300 meters by 400 meters. The strategic importance of these properties lies in their ability to diversify American Salars' lithium resources, providing a balance to the company's lithium brine projects. By exploring hard rock lithium deposits in Quebec, the company mitigates risks associated with relying solely on brine extraction, thus strengthening its overall resource base.
